The Enchanted Wild Garden

Glints of light catch my eye.  Dancing fairies zipping by?

I found a toy army man standing tall between two beets.  A gift, a laugh, a mystery treat.

I went to take a photo of the toy that something left.  Gnomes to blame for the theft?

No longer there.

The raindrops sing on plant’s fragrant tips.  And caress a ladybug’s thirsty lips.

The wild garden beckons for fun.  An oasis beneath the lovely sun.

At nightfall the land grows dark.  Around the elm crone the fairies hark.

In the wild garden my spirit soars as gnomes sneak across the earthen floor.
